Electrophoresis is the method of separating charged macromolecules such as DNA, RNA and Protein molecules by moving them from one pole to the other, between (-) and (+) charged poles, in an electric field. In the classical electrophoresis process, devices and materials used for power supply, UV (ultraviolet) transilluminator and gel imaging, process control procedures are performed as separate processes and by the experimenters. Smile effect, diffusion effect and other factors may decrease the sensitivity in the analysis and may result in incorrect band image and band density calculation on the results.
