In these lectures some aspects of flavour physics are discussed, concentrating on quark flavour physics. Since heavy flavours are currently the focus of attention, some emphasis is put on the physics of the bottom quark. The first part covers the flavour structure of the Standard Model and the calculational methods used in heavy flavour physics. In the second part a few selected phenomenological applications are considered. Finally we discuss some flavour aspects of physics beyond the Standard Model
