Lipoma is one of the benign tumors which may appear in the oral cavity. The present work aims at describing the clinical case of a patient with a lipoma in the oral cavity with involvement of the chin nerve. The patient presented to the Maxillofacial Surgery Service of the University General Hospital Dr. Gustavo Aldereguía Lima, Cienfuegos, Cuba with an increase in volume in the left lower vestibular groove, with approximately two months of evolution. On oral examination, an increase in volume of approximately 2 cm in diameter was observed in this region at the level of 33 and 34 cm of hard, elastic consistency, mobile, not painful to palpation, of yellowish coloration, covered with normally colored mucosa.
