Abstract The purpose of this study is to find out normative studies relating to changes in age of marriage to prevent child marriages. Through juridical normative research methods with an emphasis on primary legal material in the form of systematic review based on applicable laws and secondary legal materials as a support in this paper, it can be said that changes in the age limit of marriage cannot help reduce the occurrence of child marriage if it is still permissible a marriage dispensation is filed. So that the validity of the revision of the marriage age limit should be unification that integrates the interests of customary law and religious law that returns to the fulfillment of children's rights as the next generation of the nation....
