We quantify the spatial entanglement in an ideal bosonic gas around the transition temperature for condensation by probing the gas with two localised quantum harmonic oscillators. We show that spatial entanglement in the gas is directly related to the off diagonal long range order (ODLRO) of the system and hence to the onset of condensation
