Foundation: tobbacoism is considered an epidemic of universally spread and a burden for the individual, the family and the society. Objective: to determine the prevalence of tobbacoism in patients with obstructive chronic pulmonary disease. Methods: A cross descriptive study was done at the University General Hospital Dr. Gustavo Aldereguía Lima. Cienfuegos, at the internal medicine wards from September 2017 to 2018.
