The White Spots and Myths in the History of Russian Literature of the Soviet Era (1920)

The article analyzes the most controversial period of development in Russian literature of the Soviet era: its gaps and myths. The author's attention is directed primarily to the first decade after October. There he reveals such difficulties as ideological and political diktat, the absence of a complete picture of the literary process in the Civil War, polemical character of proclaimed ideals of the revolution and the new art, censored philology etc. The author`s concludes that literature of the studied period needs reconsideration
