Introduction: An anal fissure is a distressing problem faced by a patient. It is one of the commonest painful anal condition. It is relatively simple to treat with rewarding results. However, disastrous consequences can occur with complications of surgery, with ensuing lifelong distress for the patient. Aims and Objectives : The present study was done to know the various clinical presentations for fissure in ano, and to evaluate and develop various guidelines both conservative and surgical management.
