The influence of salicylic acid (SA) in concentration of 0,05 mmole оn general content of free amino acids in sprouts of wheat Triticum aestivum L. and sunflower Helianthus annuus L. under the exposure to cadmium chloride in concentrations 10 and 100 µmole was analyzed. At treatment of seeds with salicylic acid the percentage of free amino acids in the examined plant stalks and roots has increased. Under simultaneous exposure to salicylic acid and cadmium chloride, we observed synergism in the action of these two compounds that became apparent in the considerabIe increase of the content of free amino acids
