Considering the interactions incorporating the vacuum polarization effects in curved backgrounds, the photon trajectories would not be the spacetime geodesics anymore. The new modified trajectories can be deduced from a new equation of motion in geometric optics approximation. In the present paper we study the effect of QED vacuum polarization on the photon trajectories in the background of NUT space characterizing the spacetime of an spherical mass $M$ endowed with a magnetic mass (NUT factor) $q$
