Currently a question is formed in the philosophy of education, solving which requires the integration of practices of three disciplinary lines: pedagogy, epistemology and university research. The essence of the matter lies in the need to expand the interpretation of the term «educational paradigm» in the context of higher education. In the article an attempt is made to solve this problem by introducing the concept of «academic paradigm», taking into account two key approaches, one based on the value component of university education, and the other oriented toward social epistemology.
