The article presents the statistics of false alarms of automatic frequency unloading devices for 2012-2016. An analysis of the types of automatic frequency unloading devices operated in the Kuzbass power system is also presented. As a result of the analysis it was established that the main reason for the false triggering of the automatic frequency unloading is the absence of a lock in the speed of the frequency reduction or its incorrect setting. To prevent false triggering of the automatic frequency unloading in the event of run-out of the motor load, organizational and technical measures are proposed.
