The problem of hearing loss and deafness in children is of great social importance due to the increasing incidence of hearing impairments. The reasons are multiple, though the primary is the progress of medical science which contributes to the growth of population at risk for hearing loss: premature infants and children with genetic pathologies [1]. Diagnosis of hearing loss in young children is of particular importance: in 85% of children hearing disorder is innate or arises in the first year of life, i.e. before speech development [2]
