The article highlights the problem of treating the most urgent inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, namely acute rhinosinusitis and acute otitis media in adults and children. The data on the use of topical antibacterial drugs in the treatment of these diseases is presented. Local antibacterial therapy of the inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract can significantly increase the effectiveness of treatment without the risk of unwanted drug reactions and antibiotic resistance
