The use of highly productive varieties, adapted to the local soil-climatic conditions takes an essential place in the complex of measures on crop productivity increase. At present a large number of chickpea varieties have been developed. All of them have different morphologic traits, biologic properties and various reactions to the growing conditions in the Crimea. Thus, it’s necessary to study adaptive properties of the varieties in the conditions of steppe Crimea for the further recommendation for their production.
