The article presents the results of examination and treatment of 2053 patients with acute pancreatitis. The operation was performed for 402 patients. There was defined a prognostic value of 175 signs of acute pancreatitis. The authors separated seventeen the most reliable and informative criteria and worked out an assessment grade for each criterion. It was demonstrated, that the score 17 indicated the possibility of conservative treatment. Low-invasive treatment should be applied in the score from 18 to 34.
