The article analyzed the results of surgical treatment of obturative tumorous obstruction of the left colon in 398 patients of different age categories. The authors developed and applied the method of retrograde lavage and sanation of the colon. A new model of vacuum aspiration-wash device was designed. An application of the method of intraoperative lavage and sanation of the colon allowed performance of primary-radical operations in 149 (77,6%) patients out of 192 patients of the main group with one-stage reestablishment of colon continuity in 68 (35,4%) cases.
