Studying the role of gender characteristics in the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of migraine, as well as the patterns of changes in the level of female sex hormones depending on the menstrual cycle allow menstrual-related migraine to be considered as an independent subtype of the disease with the presence of characteristic clinical symptoms.
