Background. At present, the diagnostic accuracy of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) surveillance is insufficient. It remains controversial whether prothrombin induced by vitamin K absence II (PIVKA-II) has a better diagnostic value than AFP for HCC patients. Objective.
