The abundant production of gauge bosons, gauge boson pairs and top quarks at the LHC will offer the opportunity for comprehensive and challenging tests of theoretical predictions in the electroweak sector. Some issues which influence these measurements followed by prospects on some possible measurements by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), at CERN are discussed
