It is shown that the scaling of all three structure functions implies bounds for the mean values of E/sub mu //E/sub nu / and Q/sup 2//2ME /sub nu /. When the bounds are analyzed in view of the recent CERN data, they become so restrictive that they essentially reduce to equalities. Bounds for Q/sup 2//2ME/sub nu / are translated into bounds for the integral integral xF/sub 2//sup nu N/(x)dx and are compared with the corresponding integral in electroproduction. Effects induced by the presence of an intermediate vector boson or heavy leptons are also analyzed. (12 refs)
