Rotor position and speed estimation methods are consolidated to reduce the cost and volume of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) sensorless control drives while maintaining high performance. Advanced nonlinear algorithms require accurate design for precise estimation tracking throughout the entire PMSM operation range.
