The socioeconomic reality of three rural peasant localities in the municipality of Coacoatzintla has provoked the migration of male heads of family with the need to obtain employment in other spaces. The consequence of this phenomenon, among many others, is a change in the role of women. In response to this situation, the organization of rural women through the solidarity economy is an alternative that responds to their social needs, economic taking into account socio-cultural practices (cooperation, organization, barter, tequio, etc.), and socio-environmental (respect for nature, responsible use of natural resources)
