Religious Education had a fundamental paradigmatic turn in the 1970s with Wolfgang Gruen, by distinguishing Catechesis and Religious Education - RE. He conceived religiosity for the RSE, from Tillich, as an anthropological category and as a teaching object by educating through the dimension of life's meanings, which includes the religious phenomenon. This historical and epistemological turn, even unknown to many researchers, currently has enormous significance, especially with the National Common Curricular Base - BNCC and the curriculum that each state of the federation has developed, such as the Referential Curriculum of Minas Gerais - CRMG.
