In order to understand the psychological factors that influence car owners’ travel mode selection under parking constraint during non-commuting, a corresponding psychological decision-making process model is established with reference to the stage model of self-regulated behavioral change (SSBC). Partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM) is applied to verify and analyze the model with empirical data. According to the purpose of non-commuting and the degree of dependence on private cars, comparative analyses are made in eight cases.
