The scattered resistive elements residing in a dual-active-bridge (DAB) dc/dc converter can adversely affect its transient performance especially when the load change is large. Conventional phase-shift methods do not take the resistive impact into account in their modeling and analysis. In this paper, a comprehensive analysis of the detrimental influence on the transient performance of a DAB converter due to resistive elements is presented, based on which a modified phase-shift scheme is proposed to further optimize the transient response of the converter. A DAB prototype is designed to verify the resistive impact discussed and validate the proposed phase-shift scheme. The experimental results confirm that better transient response can be e...
