The article refers to international legal problems connected with the institution of diplomatic protection of States. It deals with the concept of diplomatic protection, conditions of its provision, and offers an analysis of the UN International Law Commission activities on the study of the topic, of the state practice, jurisprudence and international legal literature devoted to the subject.
