Thesis (M.S.V.S.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Architecture, 1984.MICROFICHE COPY AVAILABLE IN ARCHIVES AND ROTCH.Bibliography: leaves 89-98.A selection of ancient concepts of ratio, form, proportion and harmony is used as the basis for the motivation and design of geometric art forms. Through a comparison of both contemporary concepts of dimensional space and ancient structural forms, new relationships are inferred. These relationships are then applied in the creation of original sculpture by the artist.by Eric Begleiter.M.S.V.S
