This work is developed in the context of the SouBois project funded by the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. The target is to propose a methodology for coupling non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques based on the propagation of electromagnetic (Radar) and elastic (Ultrasound) waves. This makes the auscultation and monitoring of wooden structural elements more reliable for extending the timber construction’s life. As a first step, an analytical development of the mechanical ultrasonic wave propagation model in anisotropic material has been improved.
