Isolation of stenotrophomonas maltophilia from different clinical samples and detection of antibiotic resistance

Bu çalışmada, kliniklerden alınan ve kliniklere gelen çeşitli canlı ve cansız kaynaklardan alınan swap örnekleri materyal olarak kullanılmıştır.Alınan örnekler Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Mikrobiyoloji Rutin Teşhis Laboratuvarına getirilerek izolasyon ve identifikasyon aşamaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada 264 yatan hastadan alınan materyallerden yapılan 347 kültürün 15 inde Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, üremiştir.Balgam kan,idrar,yara ve katater ucu kültürlerinden üreme olmuştur. Stenotrophomonas maltophilia'nın görülme oranı %4.32 olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Antibiogram sonuçları incelendiğinde; Stenotrophomonas maltophilia suşlarının; 12'si (% 80)amoksisillin/klavunikasite, 15'i(%100)karbenisilline, 11`i (% 73.33)sefaperazona, 10'u (% 66.66)sefuroksime, 14'ü(% 93.33)sefalotine, 9'u (% 60)siprofloksasine, 10'u (% 66.66)imipeneme, 11'i (% 73.33)piperasilline,14`ü (% 93.33)tikarsilline, 11'i(%73.33)aztreonama,15'i(% 100)ampisilline, 12'si(% 80)sefoksitine karşı dirençli olduğu görülmektedir. Stenotrophomonas maltophilia suşlarının;11'i(%73.33) trimetoprim-sülfometaksazole ,14'ü(%93.33) sulbaktam/sefoperazona,11'i(%73.33) amikasine,15'i (% 100) tigesilline , 9`u (% 60) gentamisine, 9'u (% 60) tazobaktam/piperasilline duyarlı olarak bulunmuştur.Genel olarak sefalosporinlere karşı yüksek bir direncin olduğu, trimetoprim-sülfometaksazole karşı ise direncin (% 26.66)görülmeye başladığı sonucuna varılmıştır.In this study, swap materials were used from living and non-living sources from clinics. The samples were brought to Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Department of Microbiology, then isolation and identification steps were processed.In the study, 15 Stenotrophomonas maltophilia were isolated out of 347 cultures made from 264 patients. The agent were isolated from sputum, urine, wound, catater samples. According to antibiogram results, 12 (80 %) of the serotypes were resistant to amoxycillin-clavulanic asid, 15 (100 %) of the serotypes were resistant to carbenicillin, 11 (73.33 %) of the serotypes were resistant to cefaperazone, 10 (66.66 %) of the serotypes were resistant to cefuroxime, 14 (93.33 %) of the serotypes (66.66 %) of the serotypes were resistant to iminepem, 11(73.33 %) of the serotypes were resistant to piperacillin, 14 (93.33 %) of the serotypes were resistant to ticarcillin, 11 (73.33 %) of the serotypes were resistant to aztreonam, 15 (100 %) of the serotypes were resistant to ampicillin, 12 (80 %) of the serotypes were resistant to cephoxitin. 11 (73.33 %) of the serotypes were susceptible to trimethoprime-sulfamethoxazole, 14 (93.33 %) of the serotypes were susceptible to sulbactam-cefaperazone, 11 (73.33 %) of the serotypes were susceptible to amikacin, 15 (100 %) of the serotypes were susceptible to tigecycline
