Çalısmada 18 litrelik saksılarda 1:1.5 toprak:dere kumu karısımı kullanılarak yetistirilen bir yasındaki Gemlik zeytin (Olea europaea L.) fidanlarına artan NaCl dozları (kontrol, 2560, 5120 ve 7680 mg L-1 NaCl; sırasıyla 4.0, 8.0 ve 12.0 dS m-1 tuzluluk yaratacak sekilde) uygulanmıstır. Tuz çözeltileri yarı yarıya seyreltilmis Hoagland besin ortamına uygun miktarlarda NaCl tuzu eklenerek elde edilmistir. Denemede tuz uygulamasının baslatılmasından itibaren saksılar bu çözeltiler ile sulanmıstır. Deneme deseni “tesadüf parselleri deneme desenine” göre 12 tekerrürlü olarak belirlenmistir.
