The YMCA located at 12th and Jackson Streets in Anderson originated from a seed fund in the amount of $125,000 donated by local businessman, John Brant in March of 1915. In 1974, a competition-sized swimming pool was added. Although it was originally for men and boys only, the YMCA today offers aquatics and fitness programs for everyone
