Add to ORKGIn 1856 the Christ Church congregation hired architect William Tinsley to design a new church. The congregation held its first worship service in the new building on May 22, 1859. The new building cost $32,438 to construct and is still in use today. The Morrison Home to the right of the church would become the Columbia Club.
