This 1903 view of the Circle shows the picturesque buildings on the north quadrants. The chimes of Christ Church are a familiar sound on the Circle. They were added to the church tower ca. 1860 and were heard for the first time on September 14 of that year. In 1857 the Christ Church Ladies Club held a strawberry festival to help raise money for the new church. Today, the strawberry festival is an annual event drawing thousands of hungry visitors to the Circle every June
