In this paper, it is proposed the utilization of discrete chaotic Burgers map based chaos pseudo-random number generator to enhance the performance of PSO algorithm. The performance is tested on a set of six test functions representing both unimodal and multimodal as well as both static and shifted optimization problems. Promising results are presented and analyzed
