Maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) is considered an important physiological parameter to determinate cardiorespiratory capacity and has been used to predict the performance in middle and long-distance running athletes. Also the ventilatory threshold speed (sVT) and respiratory compensation point speed (sRCP) are important tools to predict performance and for training prescription.
