Aldehydes serve as intermediates in the production of various fine chemicals. Rh-based homogeneous catalysts for aldehydes production have demonstrated high yields and selectivity. Catalyst separation and recovery of expensive Rh-metal from reaction mixtures is a challenge to this process.
