The group was officially chartered as a fraternal benefit society in Connecticut on March 29, 1882. The Indianapolis headquarters was located at 1305 North Delaware Street in Indianapolis and is still at that location.The original nitrate negative was copied with funds provided by a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission in 1990.
