Especially, the application of the study of “ emotion regulation,” a concept thought to be closely related to emotional labor, was a major turning point for the discipline. However, until now, its potential influence and the implications it have for the discipline of emotional labor haven't been discussed. Therefore, the present paper aimed to reconsider the originality and unique significance of the study of emotional labor by discussing the two points raised above
