Théberge traces a brief history of the Gallery’s various collections in this publication showcasing some of their “treasures.” Twenty-two authors, curators and specialists, comment on 128 art works by as many Canadian and international artists. The works are presented according to their geographic or cultural origin (Canadian, Inuit, European and Asian art) or their era (before/after 1945), while the last chapters are devoted to selected photographs from the collections of the Gallery and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography.
