Catalogue for an exhibition at CREDAC (France) in 1998 by Quebec collaborative duo Attitude d’artistes (Jacky Georges Lafargue and Louis Couturier), based on one of their public intervention projects presented in eight cities in Europe, Canada and the U.S.A. between 1996-1998. This performative “manœuvre” is contextualized by author Déry within the duo’s production since 1991, and described as a social critique returned to the public space through media-like intervention. She situates their work within a tendency in contemporary art to rethink art’s relationship to the world, re-examine its ethics, and to find new means of expression.
