A collection of essays published in parallel with a double exhibition underlining the centennial of the Shroud of Turin's "revelation". F. Choinière and Y. O'Reilly present the whole of the project and the works of 11 artists in relation to the chosen themes - issues raised by the portrait; the phenomenology of the photographic medium -, while eight authors from diverse backgrounds (arts, human sciences) elaborate a reflection around the famous relic.
