Following a project organized in 1992, this document assembles a compact disc of sound works commissioned from eight artists, Lander's directory-like survey of 25 years of radio art in Canada (1967-1992), and a collection of essays and scripts by 26 international contributors. Theoretical texts examine human interaction with technology, sound, and media, and the use of radio waves since their discovery. Various perspectives reveal consciousness of gender, race, power, and voice in positioning the creator of sound, the listener, the broadcaster, and the community member. Includes illustrated instructions for building a low-range FM transmitter. Brief biographical notes on contributors. Subject index. Circa 200 bibl. ref
