This paper explores how attitudes towards immigrants are shaped in Denmark. While other studies have looked at this issue in other countries, to my knowledge there has not been a study on this issue in Denmark. With a changing population and contested views on immigration, Denmark is an ideal country for looking at the effects of immigration. Using data from the European Social Survey (ESS), I attempt to examine what factors contribute the most to the formation of attitudes towards immigration in Denmark, and why these factors are important. The results show that education has a significant effect in shaping attitudes, but it is difficult to determine whether this is due to economic or cultural reasons.
