This seminar course examines the commitment to peace and social justice of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), exploring the religious foundations and highlighting both historical and current manifestations. Students will gain an understanding of why and how Quakers work for peace and social justice. Readings on Quaker faith and practice, social witness, and peace work will be complemented by guest speakers, applied learning components, and personal reflection
