This thesis aims to elucidate phenomena in the morphophonology of Maung, an Australian\ud language with an estimated 260 speakers. Using cross-linguistic typological patterns as a\ud framework, this paper discusses phonological phenomena that occur when two-consonant and\ud two-vowel clusters form across a morpheme boundary. Major topics include consonant cluster\ud reduction, sonority of onsets, and nasal place assimilation. Additionally, phonological processes\ud are prioritized in a manner conducive to future Optimality Theoretic analysis
