This course will provide training in how to conduct research in abnormal psychology. Students will learn about methodological issues that address questions related to mood, anxiety, sleep, and other variables, including the design of psychometrically sound measures, various modes of data collection (e.g., self-report vs. interview; observational vs. experimental methods), and the collection, analysis, and interpretation of relevant data. The course will be hands-on and interactive, including lab activities and class projects
