This course will use an evolutionary framework to explore core aspects of human behavior such as sexuality, empathy, aggression, mental illness, and culture. We will incorporate scholarly material from closely related fields including ethology, primatology, and behavioral ecology paying attention to the dynamic interplay between biological and environmental influences on behavior.
