This is a research-intensive course geared towards advanced students (including especially senior political majors) who are prepared to undertake a significant research project for the duration of the semester. For many students, but not necessarily all, this research will connect to their senior thesis projects, which they will complete in the spring. The course will combine methodological discussions about how to conduct research, workshopping sessions in which we will provide feedback on one another’s work, and more thematic discussions on democracy and global governance, the ostensible theme for the course.
