Poetry Writing: A Practical Workshop

English 291A01 is a creative writing poetry workshop. Student work is the focus along with\ud analysis of selected readings. Students will write poems each week (using a modeling method) and\ud respond to the selected readings. One idea we will explore throughout the semester is creation and\ud the process of the creative act. We will also read a number of critical essays as well as Richard\ud Hugo’s The Triggering Town. A final portfolio of revised work is required
